ROBERT CARRON, PETER YOUNG (UK COMMISSIONER TO THE BAHAMAS) JOHN CONLIN, GENERAL JACK KEANE (SPEAKER)
The officers of the troop work hard to contain costs for our annual nominating dinner, but expenses have steadily increased over the past thirty years. Our concern is that retired members or those on a fixed income may be forced to withdraw as a result of limited means, large medical bills or temporary job loss.
A few years ago we created a dinner fund where members can contribute above and beyond the basic cost and thereby ensure that all members who wish to attend can do so. All contributions are anonymous and recipients are never named. We are happy to report that the concept has been a great success. As a result of a very generous contribution of the Carron family in memory of a member's father, it was renamed the Carron Dinner Fund.
Invitations for the Nominating Dinner always have a link for making a contribution.
Members donating $100, or more, to the fund or to our official charity, The Equus Effect, may nominate the gift to be in memory of some relative or comrade, active, retired or deceased, who served in an active theater of war. Actual amounts will not be disclosed. The name of the veteran will be published below, together with dates and service:
